Most of these works are created during live performances. Occasionally I touch them up afterwards, but on a whole they are an instant response to the musician and their music. Drawing musicians and the music they create is more than an arts practice, it's a spiritual one. The process of feeling the lines flow out onto the paper is a transcendental experience.I feel an intimate relationship form with the musician and the music, which is embodied both in the fleeting process (usually 2-3 minutes) and in the final drawings.
